How it works

Ask once. Help the next Japan residency applicant too.

The service is built around public, accountable knowledge—not private access to a selected artist.

1

Create an applicant profile

Set your practice, career stage, country, application horizon and the uncertainty you need to resolve.

2

Open a Japan residency

See official facts separately from editorial guidance and participant experience, including source and last-checked date.

3

Search existing answers

A duplicate check should surface an answer before a new question spends a credit.

4

Ask publicly

Use one focused question, add context and remove private application material.

5

Relevant experience answers

Questions route to matching participants, applicants, organisers or the source desk. Passing is allowed; direct messages are not.

6

Corrections stay visible

Helpful ratings, organiser replies, reports, validity dates and correction history keep the answer accountable.

Question-credit promise

No particular person is guaranteed to answer. In production, a Member credit returns after seven days if no useful answer is accepted. The local demo enforces credit use; automated time-based returns remain disconnected.
